iGnitE jAzz! Drop-in Sessions
As part of the iGnitE jAzz! camp, we are hosting drop-in classes, open to the public Monday-Thursday at 6pm. There are two drop-in classes to choose from each evening. Classes are FREE and open to all, with a suggested donation of $30 per session, or $100 for all four days. All sessions will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church on Vilas Avenue.

Chris Rottmayer “Learn to Speak Jazz” – Opening up to listen and incorporate what you hear

Leah Reinardy “Duo Collaboration” – Explore the language of musical collaboration
Devin Drobka “The Color of Varied Time Signatures” – So often we play in 4/4. Learn to make it fresh.

Amy Lewis “Freedom Dreaming and Improvisatory Play” – Reminiscences of her grandfather, Jay McShann
Katherine Kramer “Jazz Tap: History & Influence” – Be ready to move and open doors of what makes it swing
Thursday June 18, 6pm – 7:30pm
Sally de Broux “Circle Singing” – Join in to fill the room with voices, collaborative harmony & groove
Joey B Banks “The Funky Drummer” – The beat and influence of Clyde Stubblefield
