Join us for a Mardi Gras party with the Chicago Cellar Boys, a five-piece band specializing in the jazz and hot dance music of the 1920s and 30s. The band’s members are multi-instrumentalist Andy Schumm; reedman John Otto; Natalie Scharf, tenor sax & clarinet; pianist & vocalist Paul Asaro; banjoist & guitarist Jon Donatowicz and tubist and bassist Dave Bock. Joining them for this performance will be vocalist Roya Naldi who is one of the few vocalists who sings in the authentic 1920s and 30s style, crooning with a style that is romantic and passionate. www.chicagocellarboys.com https://www.facebook.com/royanaldimusic/

Our Middleton Jazz Jam and the Madison Jazz Jam have joined forces. There will be a house band at each event and all are welcome to sit in and experience improvisational jazz. Each 2nd Wednesday of the month will start with an improvisation workshop, led by Laurie Lang, from 5-6 PM. Per Laurie: "Workshops will teach a jazz concept through a chosen song from 5-6pm in the upper room at Common Ground."
